As long as he is not an authority figure such as a teacher, church leader, civic leader, etc, then there is no law preventing you from having sex with him. In fact, at 16, you could have sex with a 60 year old, and it's legal. If you were 15 and he was 20, then he would be guilty of criminal action.

Neither of the situations violated the law, most likely. The first one, you were not UNDER 13, and she was within 5 years (common in most states). The second, you were 16, age of consent, so it's legal for you to have sex with a woman of ANY age, as long as she is not an authority figure.

The problem as I see it is not so much whether the act is "traumatic" as it is simply against the law, for a child to have sex with an adult. If you had been with the 27yo when you were 13, then the woman would have been a child molester. Whether you liked it or not doesn't matter.
