I am 15 and will be 16 in feb and i am pregnant with a 28 year olds baby my family found out about him but didn't file any charges he is terrified to come around beacuse he doesn't trust my sister who now has custody of me to stay true to her word of not throwing him in jail(they were friends before i met him an didn't know til he got caught) if he does come around because the baby will be here in 7 weeks and she files charges an i don't testify will they DNA the baby an throw him in jail??

You should have had a choice for "It depends on the age difference". (I checked "I'm not sure", since that's the closest I could get.) A 15 year old student and a 35 year old teacher is a lot different than a 17 year old student and a 25 year old teacher.
Relationships where the power dynamic is very imbalanced are unhealthy. But that often isn't the case when the teacher is not far out of college, and the student is almost ready for college. In that situation, they are likely to both view each other as equals, with similar lifestyles and level of maturity.
Also, the question should have been phrased as "..should he be considered the victim of a crime", rather that "... is he the victim of a crime", because taken literally the question is just asking what the law IS, while I think your intent is to survey attitudes about what the law SHOULD be.

I'm 27 from Australia and recently met a 16 year old young man on facebook from the US. He added me after seeing my post on a fanpage for an artist we both love. He actually advertised his age to be about four years older than his actual age. He initiated conversation with me and I was at first wary when he told me his actual birth date, but as I got to know him I realised how wise beyond his years he was. He fell for me and I for him. We even spoke on the phone a few times. It was lovely and I actually felt like a teenager again falling in love for the first time. We continued to exchange emails and one day I got a message from his email saying 'i've called the police. please do not contact this number again'. He told me his mother would kill me if she found out we were speaking and it was obvious to me at that point who sent the message. I instantly felt so ashamed and for weeks i've been beating myself up about it. Now i come across this forum and read peoples messages with similar types of experiences.. Exactly how do you put an age limit on love? I'd personally say no older than 15. In my case I feel this young man fell just into my age limit. If he were any younger I would definitely not have felt comfortable continuing our online romance (which was all very innocent mind you!) In my country the legal age is 16, so it is not so frowned upon. The eleven year age difference might seem extreme but. But as you age the gap seems to get smaller I guess. I am hoping to reunite contact with him in a few years. I am too scared to initiate any contact at this stage. The whole affair has left me with quite an empty feeling. I really miss hearing from him.
