Every state and the District of Columbia have laws for various types of child sexual exploitation and child pornography. Statutory rape can be defined as adult sexual exploitation of a minor. Federal and State laws can be violated and as a result a person who is arrested for violating federal law may also face additional charges at the state level or vice verca.
