14 year old and 17 year old

i am a 14 year old girl and i had sex with my 17 year old boyfriend my parents found out and they are threatening to file charges. Will he get into legal trouble even thought i consented to sex and we are only 2 and a half years apart? Will the penal code protect him? (and i am not pregnant)
