I've read a lot of these comments by many different people and I've come to the conclusion of one, people don't think before they decide to type and two, some people can't accept the responsibilities of their own actions. I know someone who is listed on the registry who is indeed really not a sex offender. She has never had a prior record, doesn't carry herself as being a sex offender, worked, in school, and has supporting parents and family members. If you asked her friends do they really think she is a sex offender they will tell you no, not her. She just doesn't have a spirit of being a sex offender. She got lied to on myspace from someone. The person said they was 18 and she was 19. They met and there's nothing wrong with meeting people offline or off chatlines what makes all this so called "crime" come about is when people LIE about who they really are. But back to my friend. This young lady life has really been affected because someone really lied about their age to her. If she wouldn't have gotten lied to she would not even be on the registry. She didn't even really know about the registry or pay attention to the name sex offender. She is a very strong young woman because she is in the process of fighting for those who are on the sex offender registry who really aren't sex offenders. I think if parents educate their kids more about things like this and have more control of their kids a lot of this mess you see on the tv or internet wouldn't be up there. Let's take the case with the chick from Florida who got 2 men locked up... That shows you that everyone on the sex offender registry is really not sex offenders. I know if these guys knew that girl age then they wouldn't have met her. How many parents can really say they know EVERYTHING their child is involved in? You see young kids telling you they lie about their age and play with people emotions and feelings by playing someone they really aren't. So it happens. So what are the parents going to do to make sure their kids arent doing this?

People need to stop critizing everyone and think about theirselves. Sex offender is a broad name and I know for a fact everyone on that registry aren't really sex offenders. I do know their are sex offenders and they should be watched and punished but their are also others who get trapped by predators who lie about their age. The females who are out here lying about their age should be punished and also their parents because they wouldnt have had the chance to lie if their parents had control over them.
