If you are 18 years of age, you can not legally have sex with someone 16 years of age.
In Texas, the age a person can no longer be a victim of statutory rape is 17. A person under the age of 17 is not legally capable of consenting to sexual contact.

When she got pregnant he was 17 and she was 14, is this illegal, i know they are both liars, as she stated she was a virgin an they broke up when he turned 18. which turned out to be a lie because she got pregnant in sept an he was 18 a month later. I doubt they stopped havin sex after he turned 18 in fact i know they didnt, because when her son was a week or 2 old she was caught with him havin sex by his father. his parents dont approve but dont want trouble, her parents dont care cuz they have 7 kids. This is not to get revenge because i left him, when i was 16 & prego i had my child at 17, cps got involved to make sure it was legal an consent, i was 16 thus he was 17. Now i wonder if cps has been involded in their case at all, it is disturbing for a 19 yr old to be with a 16 yr old who he knocked up at 14. They both dont even want their son. I am askin if this is legal for them to be together to the fact if i marry a sex offender i have to report it to the judge an court. ofcourse i know better, but since tynically this is stagatory rape can i report him as a possible sex affender even thou he has not been labeled as one. Just need to know, dont like him near my daughter due to him goin after younger girls. he cant be trusted he is 19 an in high school an in a low income job. So is it Legal or not?

It's not illegal for anyone to date anyone in the United States. However, engaging in ANY sexual contact, which includes kissing, IS illegal and you will go to prison. I suggest finding someone your own age.

My son is about to turn 18 and he has a girlfriend that is 14. His mother and I do not approve of the relationship because of the legal ramifications if he decides to have sex or anything close. He thinks that we hate him and his girlfriend when in reality we are trying to protect him. When he turns 18 she will still be 14 for 5 more months. Any kind of sexual contact is Illegal, even kissing. If your son gets caught kissing her, he will go to prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.

I'm 16 (almost 17) and the girl I'm hanging around with is 13 (turns 14 nine days after I turn 17). We haven't been dating because we're not sure about the laws on the ages of relationships. Is it okay for us to be dating? Last year(shortly before I turned 16) I was about to start dating a girl that was 17 and our school's S.R.O. almost had my ass because she was 17, so I'm not sure I'd be allowed to date this younger girl.
