Age Of Consent

Ohio

If I am 17 and my boyfriend is 19, and I could possibly be pregnant...will he get into trouble for this? My parents are okay with us dating and I turn 18 in june, by the time the baby would be born I would be 18.

The legal age of consent for consensual sexual contact in the state of OHIO is 16. At sixteen years of age or older, a person can no longer be a victim of statutory rape. Based on the information provided in your question, it does NOT appear that Ohio sexual offense laws have been violated.

I'm almosy 16 and my boyfriend lives in ohio. Could I go up, see him, have some possible fun, and come home without either of us getting in trouble? Or do you have to reside in the state before the age of consent laws aply?

I am doing a senior project on the age of consent and I would like to know what you would want to happen to the Age of Consent. Stay the same, be changed, or be abolish. What would be the best possible way of dealing with the problem of pedophiles and early sex among teenagers and younger? What are the arguments between the age of consent being the same as always, changed to a different age, or gone?

-Please sned response to my e-mail.

My 14 year old freshman daughter born 3/21/96 has had sex with a junior boy who is either 17 or will turn 17 soon. Is this a violation of the statutory rape law in Ohio?

I can understand your concern I am 15 and lost my virginity to a 17 year old but if you tell her not to have sex she will just want to donit more instead try and tell her that you are there if she has questions and make she she

If you live in ohio your mom can not do any thing to your boyfriend, because you are the legal age of consent therfor you are able to make your own disition as to if you want to have sex with him of not.

my grand-daughter is 17, Her supervisor is 36. Are there any law in the state of ohio for her parents to stop this? They disapprove. They are sexually involved.

No, there is nothing that you or the girls parents can do if she is having sex with him, because in ohio she is the legal age of consent, but if her parents do not approve sit her down and tell her how you really fill and mabey that will make her respect your wishes for her not to see him anymore.

Ok so my brother-in-law is 30 (31 in October) and he is dating a 17 yr old (turned 17 a couple of months ago). i know the legal age of concent in Ohio is 16 but I just want to make sure that nothing will happen to anybody else in the home if she comes over (yes he lives with us) I have a 2 yr old. Her dad is very against them dating. So I guess my question is, is it legal for them to be "together" in my house. What can her dad do if he finds out)

The age of consent in Ohio is 16 unless the adult is in a position of authority as described in the Sexual Battery law 2907.03. See links below to the Ohio Code
