IS it legal for a 15 year old girl to date an 18 year old boy

Dating is perfectly legal, as long as parents or legal guardians give consent and there is no sexual contact. The 18 year old is a legal adult. The 15 year old is a minor under the legal authority and control of the parents.

The age a person can no longer be a victim of statutory rape is 16.

Okay so my neighbor and I like each other and are gonna date soon. He's 18, and I'm 15. He turns 19 in August and I turn 16 in April. Does this mean we CAN date, but no sexual intercourse/activity until I turn 16? I'm just worried that He will get in trouble, and I couldn't bare putting him in jail during his first year of college.. help please!

P.S.: We've known each other for 11 years and both our families are close.

So I really want to date this girl that lives down the street from me. But the only problem is, that she is 19 years old And I am currently 16 years. Can she get into trouble for dating me? And what if our relationship progresses into a sexual one. Can she go to jail for that?

I love her, i just don't want her to get into trouble...

I just read the 1st question and your comment;
IS it legal for a 15 year old girl to date an 18 year old boy
Answer: Dating is perfectly legal, as long as parents or legal guardians give consent and there is no sexual contact. The 18 year old is a legal adult. The 15 year old is a minor under the legal authority and control of the parents.
The age a person can no longer be a victim of statutory rape is 16.

PA law states:
§ 3123. Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits a felony of the first degree when the person engages in deviate sexual intercourse
with a complainant:
(7) who is less than 16 years of age and the person is
four or more years older than the complainant and the
complainant and person are not married to each other.
(b) Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.--A
person commits involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a
child, a felony of the first degree, when the person engages in
deviate sexual intercourse with a complainant who is less than
13 years of age.

SO my conclusion is that a 15 year old girl and an 18 year old boy are OK under the PA law to have intercourse even though it is morally wrong.
I am a concerned parent of the 18 year old boy and any guidance with the law is appreciated.

What is the age of consent for a 15 year old and an 18 year old. I really do not want them with the 18 year old AT all. I am the parent of the 15 year old. Do I have any legal rights to stop this?

It is legal for them to be together, not to have sex.

I'm fourteen years old, and have been seeing this guy that is eighteen years old. My parents are very approving of him and allow us to date. But his parents don't like the age difference and have threatened him with the police on multiple occasions, and forced him to break up with me. Is there anything his parents can do legally about us dating if my parents are okay with it?

Officially, I would see no, since the parents of you "the minor" approve of the relationship and as long as you abstain from sexual contact the relationship is legal.

Pennsylvania law 3122.1 Statutory sexual assault

Except as provided in section 3121 (relating to rape below) a person commits a felony of the second degree when that person engages in sexual intercourse with a complainant under the age of 16 years and that person is four or more years older than the complainant and the complainant and the person are not married to each other.

If you were 16 years old at the time the sexual intercourse took place and your boyfriend is not more than four years older, he does not meet the criteria to be charged under this statutory rape law.

§ 3121. Rape
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits a felony of the first degree when he or she
engages in sexual intercourse with a complainant:
1. By forcible compulsion.
2. By threat of forcible compulsion that would prevent resistance by a person of
reasonable resolution.
3. Who is unconscious or where the person knows that the complainant is unaware that
the sexual intercourse is occurring.
4. Where the person has substantially impaired the complainant's power to appraise or
control his or her conduct by administering or employing, without the knowledge of the
complainant, drugs, intoxicants or other means for the purpose of preventing resistance.
5. Who suffers from a mental disability which renders the complainant incapable of
consent.
6. Who is less than 13 years of age.
(b) Additional penalties.--In addition to the penalty provided for by subsection (a), a
person may be sentenced to an additional term not to exceed ten years' confinement and
an additional amount not to exceed $100,000 where the person engages in sexual
intercourse with a complainant and has substantially impaired the complainant's power to
appraise or control his or her conduct by administering or employing, without the
knowledge of the complainant, any substance for the purpose of preventing resistance
through the inducement of euphoria, memory loss and any other effect of
this substance.
