age 20 male in sexual relationship with age 17 female

if i am 20 is it ok for me to have sex with my 17 year old girlfriend? This would be unlawful sexual intercourse in the state of California. See "Unlawful Sexual Intercourse" Section 261.5 California Penal code. I'm a 21 yr female I'll b 22 April 3 n my bf is 17 will b 18 September 29 would I get n trouble r no we live n San Antonio My bohfriend is 21 im 16, we have been together a little over a year now. I am a full AP student 4.85 GPA he goes to college, has A's as well, and works to pay his expenses and help his parents. My point is were not idiots whom are passing down then irresponsible gene. We are sexually active and my parents are fine with that. If parental concent is given...no harm is caused to myself, he is a very good and caring man and there are absolutely no conditions, except our 5year age gap, which appearantly is concidered such a big deal...why is it not okay to be intimate with a man whom I may just be moving in with in a few months.? Plus..the CA statutory rape laws are to prevent pregmancy expenses..not prevent sexual assult. Right??? I read that in the faq and im more than willing to accept any circumstance. Also..if we were to marry, because we have considered it, would everything be legal? My brother just turned 21 and he is having sex with a 16 year old her parents do not know. Can he get in trouble? Understanding the 3 year age gap and unlawful consent rape laws, I am curious if you can legally engage in sex if the minor was to sign a waiver saying it was ok. Something like I name, fully understand that I am a minor and my partner is a legal adult. I fully concent to engage in sexual intercourse and waive my right to file any legal action against him and am viewing myself as an adult. I also fully understand the negitive side effects associated with sexual intercourse. Would something like that work or is the law just black and white and there is no way around it? Multiple problems with this idea. I will point out two. First; a contract with a minor is generally not legally binding. Second; this is not a matter of civil law, it is a matter of criminal law. A minor, or a parent, or a person, does not press criminal charges against another person, the State or Federal government prosecutors press charges for violations of state and federal laws when there is evidence supporting the charge. A waiver will not protect someone from prosecution when a state or federal law has been violated. I'm 17 years old and I've been talking to this guy who's 22, 5 year age difference, since before he was 18, but we never wanted him to get in trouble, so we were never dating. I want to know if we were in a relationship, but not having sexual intercourse, could he still get into trouble? And how would they prove we were sexually involved, if we were? I disagree i may be underage but im mature and know a little bit about that kind of relationship and hats off to those who can find someone there age who can truely love them but its been over a year and hes not a scumbag so u should chill on that comment pretty unreasonable and unnaccurate im a 20 year old male with a 16 year old girlfriend we have a 4 month old daughter and her mom is just now trying to keep me away from my daughter and girlfriend i know she can keep me from my girlfriend but can she keep me from my daughter and can i still get in trouble??? My neighbor in MO, started seeing a 16 year old she turned 21 in September while he turned 17 in July she's 21 and he just now turned 18 and at 17 she got knocked up by this guy, is that leagal ? Now they are getting married this weekend, can't she still be charged with crimes for having sex with a 17 year old even if he is jus now legal?
