My 13 yr old son (14 in May) is claiming to have gotten an almost 18yr old girl pregnant. He has also claimed she is 18. What is the law regarding age of consent in this situation with both age senarios?

IS it legal in the State of Washington for a 18 yr old boy to date a 14 yr old girl?

There have been a lot of questions answered saying that 17 / 14 year old relation ships are illegal (or it was implied?) between a girl-boy, girl-girl, or boy-boy.

However in the actual document RCW 9A.44.079 it states "(1) A person is guilty of rape of a child in the third degree when the person has sexual intercourse with another who is at least fourteen years old but less than sixteen years old and not married to the perpetrator and the perpetrator is at least forty-eight months older than the victim."

And the same is for molestation in RCW 9A.44.089.

Forty-eight months is four years, four plus fourteen is eighteen, so wouldn't that be, legally, okay?

I searched for statutory rape RCW's, but it seemed they were repealed in the 80's? I don't know if that's correct, but this -- http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/dispo.aspx?cite=9A.44 -- is where I'm getting that idea from.

i am dating a guy that will be turning 18 on october 11. i am 14 and will be turning 15 on may 30. is it considered statutory rape if we are having intercorse? can he be charged for stutory rape? who can press charges against him?

Okay.. So I was 12 and he was 17.. he Took my virginity and I could have swore I loved him. Two years later and I got a supina saying that they are going to charge him.. I dont want him to go to jail but I dont know what to do.. I have to testify.. The state is charging him.. :(
